Well I really wanted to be involved in the IF project, so I just quickly sketched this just to have something done. It's a bit rushed. It's a sketch of a lovely photo taken by some pro-photo friends at our wedding in October. I have Faroese heritage, and according to tradition a song is written about the bride and groom and sung by the guests on their wedding day. This is my husband and me standing on the left as my niece, sister, uncle, cousin, aunt, and mom sing 'our song'.

Illo Friday - Song

quite the picture... i love the view was one of my favorite parts of this piece.
Thanks so much for the kind words. I wish I could take credit for the composition/view, but like I said, this is a drawing of a wonderful picture taken by a photographer friend of mine. I suppose I can take credit for recognizing what great composition it has and giving it new life as a drawing. ;)
Sometimes sketches can capture things that are lost in a finished piece. I like it.
